An advocacy campaign to end violence against women in political participation across the Niger Delta region.
The "Stop Violence Against Women in Politics" campaign is the foundation's advocacy arm, focused on creating a safer environment for women to participate in political processes.
Campaign activities include:
• Awareness rallies and community meetings
• Engagement with political stakeholders and leaders
• Support forums for women affected by political violence
• Media campaigns highlighting the issue
• Partnership with civil society organizations
The campaign received delegations of women from across Bayelsa State at its Yenagoa headquarters, creating a safe space for dialogue about the challenges women face in politics.
Key achievements:
• Increased public awareness of gender-based political violence
• Creation of support networks for women in politics
• Engagement with state government on protective policies
• Empowerment of women to speak up and participate boldly
The foundation continues to champion the cause of women's equal political participation, believing that democracy is only truly served when all voices are heard.
